Project Details
Core frames and ancillary items of two transformers were shrink-wrapped and pallet wrapped for
export from the UK. Items shipped via road and sea on flat bed vehicle.
Previous Problems
Concerns surrounding corrosion in shipping method, with the possibility of outside storage at
destination site due to potential delays to production schedule.
Revised Packaging Solution
One layer of INTERCEPT Shrink Film and one layer of Power-Shrink Film. One layer of INTERCEPT film for the smaller items wrapped and sealed with hull tape then banded onto pallet.
Benefits and Improvement
All units arrived at site in perfect condition, enabling a problem-free transition into the subsidiary factory’s
production schedule.
